Welcome to The Hemwood, a modern cabin retreat tucked in the woods of Brown County, just 2 miles from downtown Nashville and 30 minutes from Bloomington/Indiana University. Relax in the hot tub, gather around the fire pit, or enjoy hillside views. Explore nearby hiking, Brown County State Park, art galleries and local restaurants. Work remotely with fiber internet. Thoughtfully designed for comfort and style, The Hemwood offers the perfect mix of nature, relaxation, and small-town charm.

The modern, Scandinavian inspired home was designed by Neon Architecture (an Indianapolis architectural firm) to highlight the beautiful surroundings and hillside view. The home is newly constructed (completed summer of 2025).

The home features three bedrooms: two bedrooms have king beds and a smaller third has a twin sized, Room and Board daybed. In addition, there is an Article sleeper sofa with linens.

Enjoy the hot tub and the fire pit supplied with wood.

The home has fiber internet and smart television. You can use the stackable washer and dryer. The kitchen is supplied with cooking essentials. The dining table inside can sit six and the outdoor dining table four.

The Hemwood is less than 5 minutes from downtown Nashville and around a 30 minute scenic drive to Bloomington and Columbus. This home is perfect for Indiana University parents and visitors - IU is a scenic 30 min drive away.

The fiber connection is strong. Some cell providers can be spotty.

Please note that the driveway to The Hemwood is relatively steep. The drive may require 4-wheel drive in icy/snowy conditions.

If you have a larger party and/or wish to visit Brown County with a group of friends, please check out our friend Bob's Property the Plahaus. His cabin is a short drive away and could be a perfect way visit Brown County with a larger group.

Disclosures:

- The owner is not responsible or liable for any accidents, injuries or illness during your stay.

- Renter shall cover any damages made to the property during his/her stay.

- Guests shall not add any soaps or chemicals to the hot tub. Failing to do so will result in additional cleaning fees.

- Please Note: The home features an elevated deck (it makes for great views!) and may be dangerous for young children. Please be mindful of the deck’s elevation and use at your own risk.

You can use all three bedrooms, bathroom and laundry room. There are two full closets that are open for belongings and space for luggage. Please note, there are closets that are locked with owner's belongings. .

Please note the driveway is steep.
